FS25 Ambient PC Radio – Spotify, YouTube Music and Cabin Sound in Farming Simulator 25

I wanted to play my own music in Farming Simulator 25 without maintaining radio URLs, playlist files, account integrations, or awkward audio-routing software. More importantly, I wanted the music to feel like it belonged to the tractor—not like Spotify was simply playing over the game.

So I made FS25 PC Radio Control. It connects an FS25 mod to a small Windows companion and turns Spotify, YouTube Music, VLC, browser media, and other Windows media players into an ambient vehicle radio. If you wanted an FS25 Spotify radio that follows the tractor, this is my solution to that problem—enjoy.

A radio that stays in the tractor

The recommended Ambient tractor radio mode captures the selected player's audio and applies real-time speaker and cabin coloration with low latency. Inside the cab it sounds enclosed and close. Switch to an outside camera and it becomes muffled; move farther from the tractor and it becomes quieter. Camera-aware sound can be disabled, and the outside hearing range is adjustable.

When you leave the vehicle, the radio fades to silence—but the track keeps advancing silently in the background. Return to the tractor later and the same continuous broadcast fades back in at its natural position. Smooth gain ramps and camera crossfades prevent abrupt volume jumps during entry, exit, and view changes.

This is not a fake internet-radio stream and it does not need a virtual audio cable. It is also not a true GIANTS Engine 3D source; the cabin, outside, and distance sound are carefully simulated by the companion.

Prefer ordinary Windows audio?

Choose Direct Windows controls if you prefer the original, simple behavior or if your audio driver does not cooperate with processing. FS25 will resume the selected player when you enter a vehicle and pause it when you leave, while the sound remains normal Windows audio.

Default controls

• Play/pause: Left Alt + R
• Previous track: Left Alt + Left Arrow
• Next track: Left Alt + Right Arrow

Search for PC radio in the Farming Simulator 25 Controls/Key Bindings menu to change them.

Included in the download

• FS25_PCRadioControl.zip — the ready-to-install Farming Simulator 25 mod.
• FS25PCRadioCompanion.exe — the self-contained Windows companion.
• A plain-language installation, audio settings, hotkey, troubleshooting, and uninstall guide.

The FS25 mod and companion are both required. Each multiplayer player who wants the feature runs their own companion locally.

Compatibility notes

Ambient mode requires Windows 10 version 2004 or newer, or Windows 11. Direct mode requires Windows 10 version 1809 or newer. Browser-based YouTube Music and similar services can work, but a browser may place multiple audible tabs in one audio process; Spotify's desktop app is usually the cleanest ambient-radio source.

Set Farming Simulator 25's built-in Radio Volume to 0 so its stations do not overlap your PC radio.

Important: unsigned executable

FS25PCRadioCompanion.exe is an independent community application and is not digitally signed. Windows SmartScreen or antivirus software may warn about, quarantine, or block it. Only download it from a source you trust, and only run it if you are comfortable doing so. Do not disable security software globally. Whether you use the executable is entirely your choice and at your own risk.
