MapToPlay is offered with the features available at the time of access. No specific functionality, uptime, or outcome is guaranteed.

External data is the end-user’s responsibility

Licensing, attribution, and compliance for any third-party data — OSM, terrain, imagery, game assets — rests entirely with the end-user.

No permanent storage guarantee

Data and accounts may be removed according to retention policies. No guarantees are made about long-term preservation.

Community access can be revoked

Misuse, abuse, or fraudulent activity may result in a permanent ban from community features — without notice or appeal.

Overview

By accessing or using MapToPlay, the end-user agrees to these Terms of Service. If any part of these terms is not acceptable, access to MapToPlay must be discontinued.

What MapToPlay Provides

MapToPlay provides tools for generating and editing playable maps from real-world geographic data. Access is provided with the features present at the time of access.

No guarantees are made regarding which features will be available at any given time, whether any specific feature will continue to exist, or whether operation will be uninterrupted or error-free. MapToPlay may be updated, changed, or taken offline at any time without prior notice.

Third-Party Data

MapToPlay allows the end-user to work with external data sources, including but not limited to OpenStreetMap data, digital terrain models, satellite and aerial imagery, and game-engine-specific formats or assets.

Using these sources through MapToPlay does not grant, transfer, or clear any licensing rights. Verifying the license terms, attribution requirements, and usage restrictions of any external dataset is the end-user’s sole responsibility. MapToPlay does not inspect, review, or provide any license for external data and takes no part in data sourcing decisions.

Content & Data Retention

Files, projects, exports, and other content created or uploaded through MapToPlay remain the end-user’s responsibility. No guarantees are made about long-term storage or preservation. Content may be removed as part of standard retention policies, including automated cleanup of inactive or temporary data, removal after extended inactivity, or deletion required for operational, maintenance, or security reasons.

Accounts that violate these terms or fair-use expectations may also be suspended or permanently removed.

Community Features

MapToPlay includes optional community features. Access to those features is conditional on respectful and fair use.

Access to community features may be restricted or permanently revoked at any time for misuse, abusive behavior, fraudulent activity, or violation of fair-use expectations. Such actions may occur without prior notice, without explanation, and without the possibility of appeal.

Prohibited Activity

The following activities are not permitted:

Fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive behavior
Attempts to circumvent usage limits or access controls
Automated scraping or requests that impose excessive load
Misuse of community features or harassment of other users
Using or distributing third-party data in violation of its license terms

Any action necessary to protect the integrity of the service or its users may be taken in response to prohibited activity.

No Warranty

MapToPlay is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. No warranties are made regarding performance, availability, accuracy, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose. Access to MapToPlay is at the end-user’s own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MapToPlay shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the service, loss of data, or reliance on any third-party data accessed through it.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated at any time. The effective date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of MapToPlay after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
