How experience works
Your community level is a number derived from your total accumulated experience points (XP). As your XP grows, you advance through levels. Higher levels reduce your feed and forum post cooldowns, letting you participate more frequently.
XP is not lost when you level up — it accumulates continuously. Each level threshold requires progressively more XP than the last, following a triangular growth curve. The gap between consecutive levels increases at each step.
Earning XP
XP is awarded from two sources:
- Post likes — when another user likes a post you authored in the feed or forum, you receive XP. Each like on a post earns the same fixed amount.
- Profile likes — when another user likes your community profile, you receive a larger XP award than a single post like.
- Achievement bonuses — unlocking certain achievements grants a one-time XP bonus on top of the achievement itself.
Cooldown reduction
The effective post and comment cooldowns are calculated by dividing the base cooldown by your current level. At level 1 you wait the full base duration between posts. At level 2 the wait is halved, at level 3 it is divided by three, and so on. This rewards active community members with faster participation rights.
Achievements
Achievements are one-time milestones that appear on your community profile. Each has a name, a rarity (Common, Uncommon, Rare, or Epic), and optionally a one-time XP bonus. Some achievements are visible in the catalog with their unlock conditions described; others are hidden and their conditions are intentionally not shown in advance — part of the discovery.
Achievement rarity indicates how difficult or unusual it is to earn. Common achievements are earned through general platform use; Epic achievements are rare or special-circumstance awards.
