Plant forests
Select a forest area, apply Object Distribution in Modifiers and choose trees in Collections → Trees.
Away from roads, the export grows the forest with the game’s own forest vegetation, using up to three of the tree kinds you chose. Close to roads, the export draws its own detailed ground, where the game’s forest does not grow; there it plants rows of trees 15, 25 and 40 meters from the road edge, inside your forest shapes, so the forest still reaches the road.
A forest area that gets neither the game’s forest nor roadside rows, typically one lying wholly beside a road, gets rows of trees where there is room. Very small or narrow areas can still end up without trees; the export warning counts them. Your saved forest shapes and tree choices stay unchanged.
Assign buildings
Assign buildings in Collections → Buildings. Each building is fitted to its outline and stands on the lowest point of it, so apply Grade to building outlines on slopes first.
Add power lines and street lamps
Assign power lines and poles in Collections → Electricity. Power lines export as the game’s own pole lines, with wires that sag between the poles. A wire is drawn only between two poles inside the map. Street lamps and electrical boxes export as models.
Add fences, gates and rocks
Assign fences, gates and rocks in Collections → Decorations. Fences export as continuous fence lines; gates and rocks as single models.
Use your own models
If your plan includes team models, assign them from Models. Wait until each model is Ready before you export. In the game, a model shows up to 50,000 triangles; models above 5,000 triangles also get simpler versions for distant views.
A tree or object with no Euro Truck Simulator 2 version is left out of the export with a warning; the rest of the map still exports.
Where your truck starts
Your truck starts on the longest stretch of road on the map. A map without roads starts in its middle. There is no separate setting for the start point.
